Renovating the rectory was a huge undertaking, possible only with the help of many volunteers, donors and God.
Father Bob is grateful to all who helped make this labor of love possible.

Broken windows needed to be replaced.

Walls and ceilings needed major repairs.

Carpets had to be discarded.

EVERYTHING got painted and cleaned.

Some worked in the yard while work continued inside the rectory (with a few moments to rest and have a laugh or two with friends.)
|
The back yard: This turned out to be a wonderful quiet spot with tables and chairs where retreatants and others who came to the Mission could share a moment of fellowship over a cup of coffee or quietly enjoy a moment of peace in a neighborhood accustomed to drugs and gangs.

The Boy Scout Troop from Park Ridge, Illinois came to help Fr. Bob and did a fabulous job with the front yard!

Our good volunteers for the weekend

After a long day of helping the poor, sharing God's love and spreading the Word, Fr. Bob and our young religious community have a simple & comfortable home renovated by the hands of our many faith-filled volunteers, .
