Mission of Our Lady of the Angels
Twice a year (late June and December), Fr. Bob sends out a newsletter updating everyone on the progress of the Mission. If you would like to be added to Fr. Bob's mailing list, please contact Fr. | Help is Needed the Following Saturdays! 9 am - 12 pm Mobile Food Pantry at Kelly Hall 824 N. Hamlin- around the corner from the Rectory 2013 July 6 Aug. 3 Sept. 7 Oct. 5 Nov. 2 Dec. 7 What needs to be done??? Check out the Mobile Food Pantry Page If you or your organization/group would like to help Fr. Bob, please call him in advance at 773-486-8431. Bring a beverage and a sack lunch or snack, although you should be done before lunch. This Spring, many college students spent their spring breaks at the Mission for service projects/retreats. This included: The University of Chicago - March 1-2 Marion University in Indiana - March 9-16 The University of Maryland, March 16-23 Missouri State - March 14 - 17 That's awesome! |
Weekdays or Days not on the Schedule Above If you or your group would like to come help Father Bob with projects at some other time not listed above, please give him a call. PLEASE! There is lots to be done at the Convent- from sweeping to cleaning to painting to you name it-- it needs to be done!So bring your elbow grease and plan to do some satisfying good old work! Call Fr. | Hunger Walk! Please come to help to raise money for the Our Lady of the Angels pantry! The pantry gets money for each person who comes to 3 mile walk. Date: June 29, 2013 -@ Soldier Field -The Bus leaves Kelly Hall @ 7 am. Please e-mail olamission@gmail.com if you plan on taking the bus from Kelly Hall OR -Go directly to Soldier Field Walk. Registration is from 7 to 8:30 am. The walk starts at 8:30 am. -It is FREE to participate. The money for the pantry comes from corporate sponsors- you just have to come walk! -VERY IMPORTANT- for registration, our pantry number is A00167. If you don't have that number the money will not go to our pantry. There is NO advanced registration. Register the day of between 7 am and 8:30 am.
